I kinda wanted a night shot, but it doesn't get dark enough to take one from the Frankfurt Main Tower before they close. I'll have to wait for later in the year and before they change their Friday/Saturday hours. This was shot at 9:30 pm, by the way.
Not sure anyone reads the challenge details - note that it says "urban or rural or somewhere in between" - but I bet I'll still get some nice DNMC comments that this isn't a "landscape". Not to mention it's in portrait orientation (which is how I prefer my landscapes.) What else would you call it? Nice long view of the land and its occupants. There's even water thrown in for good measure. Ah well. As we like to see 'round these parts, I like it, and that's what matters. Right? (And to Team Germany, hopefully it won't completely bomb. But I did promise to show you bits of Germany in my entries!)
Processing: Crop, shadow/highlight (7%/12%), hue/sat, levels, curves, sharpening, resize and save for web (and it took some doing to get this to 150K, I might add.)

| I'm surprised this scored so low, it's a great shot. The lighting is fantastic and the detail and sharpness is great. There are lots of different shapes of buildings which makes it interesting to look at for longer than the general 3 second voting scan. I like the river going through the shot as well. |

| Wow, this is only from a tower? I'd a thunk a plane! Love the dappled light. My company has a site at Frankfurt am Main - those lucky dogs! |

9:30pm! Man! I thought it got late in Texas in the summer! But that's great. It gives you time to get out after work and experience beauty and wonder like this. This is so amazing. I can't imagine why you are loving Germany so much :) Thank you for letting us enjoy it with you!
