Yesterday I visited a sanctuary for horses and burros.

This is just one of about 300 photos I took. Of course not all of them turned out.

I just loved this horse's pose - he was kind of preening for me - and I processed it in several different ways.

Judy left me a comment that she liked this one best - so it's the one I'm posting in our overlay side. :o)

I used the gold/white goodman filter. Without her filters, we'd all be lost in overlay land.

It is amazing to me how the overlay can save the image. This has a new and old look to it at the same time. I really like the horses face in profile.

Such a handsome definition to his face. Lucky boy to have gone to a sanctuary. Nice low-key processing.

I love the stretched out neck pose/composition...you must of definitely been at the wide end of that lens for this!?! The mainly monochromatic treatment is really good fit. Well done!

fantastic shot! the "pose" is perfect, but the treatment makes it look like a tintype.

I clicked on the link for the sanctuary. This horse seems to be looking for something. Comp & PP both beautifully done.

The horses stance and the way you've captured it is super dynamic. I really love the subtle colors too...very nice.
