 This is a photo I took inside Studio Diner, when I was visiting San Diego with my mom in April this year.

The food was horrid, by the way.

I was just looking to see what I could do for this side and came across an unprocessed photo - with the monster outside the window.

I used Lucis exposure on it - since it was very dark - sharpened a bit and such:


Then I went back to the original and cropped only the glasses on the table. I used Lucis on those as well, and some Redfield Fractalius, some NI and Perfectum (it was pretty grainy)> I wanted the light in the glass rims to pop, which worked.


Then I overlayed the glasses on the diner scene in some sort of mode, which I have now forgotten. I slid the layer around so the one glass rim was above the monster's head and the Heinz Tomato label was on the guy's head.

Erased everything off the bottom portion as well as off of most of the people. Smoothed a bit more and voila.

There is so much to look at and the unsuspecting diners look totally unaware. Great choice of photos and processing. Heinz head is a bit on the freakish side. Love it.

LOL .. i'm laughing alicia ... i can just see you lurking around phoenix with your camera ready AT ALL TIMES .. !! ..
very surreal .. love the tones and the combination .. it looks like an interesting place to go .. those windows remind me of the windows at the back of a bus for some reason ..
and yes it was a bug, but i reckon his scaryness was offset by the amazingly good job i did on his surroundings .. lol lol LOL .. !! ..
