 There was not much processing. Only crop, levels, a bit of saturation and sharpening. The effort was to climb the hill at night by myself on the last day before submission. Was a hot humid day
and I had to wait 10 min to cool down and not sweat so I can use the camera. The place I took the image was very narrow, on the top of one of the walls of an abandoned fortress on Devil's Peak in Hong Kong. The live preview came very handy. I took aprox 20 images and i considered this the best. I could have avoided the horizon at the half of the image and the vegetation on the left down corner but I did not have much room to move as the wall was about 40-50 cm wide.

Thank you all for your votes and for the comments.

The title is the very name of the city translated from Chinese.

I am very happy with it as it's now my highest score, 4th in the 40D gallery and 8th in the Tokina 12-24 gallery

I like teh title; I picture duck and fish and waste na dsummer and heat and stagnant no wind times, and a vast expanse of sea and waterlife. excellent shot.

One of the best in the challenge – excellent clarity throughout. I may have considered cropping the top a bit to shift the horizon line and loose the branches. Great entry which I’m sure will do very well!

I think this would have been better with the horizon raised or lowered, not centered in the frame
