You are correct, that is exactly the illusion I (or perhaps, better, the chameleon) was trying to create, a Southwestern Rock Chameleon photo that "appears" to be a Desert Bighorn Sheep, resting upside down.
That's why these little critters are so elusive and hard to photograph - they can look like just about anything. I've actually got 12 or 13 of them and my portfolio and you'd never know it. ;)

Oh, man, this is superb! First glance suggests some cool eroded sandstone formations in the southwest, and then it hits you. Technical excellence here, too, with wonderful composition, exposure, sharpness and depth. 10 |
