yet another shot from a kiddie birthday party. pretty simple processing - quadtone, then colour efex vignette filter and graduated neutral density to darken the giant balls at the top. the tones in this make me happy...

The tones are indeed quite wonderful here - love the unexpected pins (from an American's standpoint) and the multiple balls coming back along the return. Well seen, as always.

There are a lot of things right with this shot; things that i like. I like the symmetry of it, the motion implied by the balls in different positions and the coloring of it.

It feels a bit tight, left to right, as far as the crop goes, though. At least to me. If there were a way to make it just a shade wider without getting too many distracting elements, it might help.

I do think it meets the challenge, so you did well there. On the monitor I'm using right now, it feels a tad dark, but I don't remember it being like that when I looked at it initially, earlier, so it "might" be a bit dark, and it may not be. :)

Interesting shot.

I gave this a 7, which is just my way of saying YES to a photo. After that, I didn't come back to it, I think because it seems so simplistic. But I couldn't deny how beautiful this is. Just a weird quirky beautiful shot, so much of it due to the post-processing. And of course the balls being lined up so perfectly.

I like this. Formal, centered, perfectly aligned & fairly rigid circles & lines composition; Tone is good, but your neutral density edit (especially evident since you have mentioned it) at the top may have altered or rather dulled some aspect of an expected bowling alley commercial interior lighting experience, and may pull in a negative way from the interesting, central return lane/line with noisy, rumbling, rolling, black, blurry balls.
