sometimes i like certain shots and dont understand why, especially since i tend to not like most of my own work much. I like this one without understanding why. So, I posted it.

Sometimes I have shots that I know are good, they encompass all the beauty and such that one would expect or hope for in photography. So, I dont bother posting them.

Sometimes I make train wrecks that I dont really like but since i put the time into editing, i post them just to see what anyone else might think, because I cant decide what I think. That is what I usually post in my portfolio...the train wrecks.

Huh, that is a sort of powerfully perceptive and an awesome way to view this. That might explain why I like it.

I did not really get to know the two of them until after the shoot. We talked for hours and hours. It might be why I like this shot. Maybe its the one image that comes the closest, quite by accident, to revealing a true reflection of who they really are deep down inside below the surface of their skin and socially perceived personalities, looks, etc. And if that is the case, then i was still able to capture this element before consciously knowing it was in them.

Hmmmmm. Ive been contemplating a theory lately. I thought I would need to get psychologically attuned to my subjects before the shoot in order for my images to capture such. But, perhaps I dont. Maybe it is only necessary to be attuned to my own psychological depths. If thats the case, then my theory is much easier to accomplish!

Sometimes I like certain shots and don't understand why... either. I am glad you posted this because I like it very much too. The general environment, the lighting with the vignetting makes me think of a picture that might have been taken before the turn of the last century, or earlier... much earlier.

A pretty model always adds to a shot, and you have one. This is a curious pose which makes me wonder what is happening. I like the bare feet. It adds some additional curiosity.

All in all, I like it a lot. I am not surprised you do too.
