I demand a recount! His kids are cuter than mine and I feel that this is the only reason he could have placed ahead of my kids. I call it age discrimination....
Or it could be this is just a kick butt image with an awesome job to get those eyes to really pop in Basic
But I still demand a recound! |

I didn't get to vote in this challenge, well done on getting your kids on the front page again...when they go through their teenage ugly phase, you'll have to look for more kids :) Well done Timmy...and a great score |

Another wonderful capture Tim! I'm proud to say it was one of only a couple 10's I dished out during voting. Well earned ribbon, and third is less than it deserved imho.

This is a great composition and very nice lighting. It does look a bit over sharpened to me with too many highlights on the hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. Did you sharpen this a lot or was it just the lighting? In any case congratulations on a wonderful image, great job. |

Nice juxtaposition of the faces with just enough cropping - really draws you into their eyes. Beautiful, soft lighting. 9. |

I like the composition but think the smoothing and selective sharpening is a bit overdone. My guess is toned down PP makes this a 8. Nicely done! |

Well, I recognise these two, and from the style of processing I would guess Timfy. I love the composition (although it would be really cool if they both had the same white t-shirts on), and the very serene, quiet expressions on the children's faces, but if I am honest I am not keen on the processing - to me it adds an air of falseness, of artificiality to the photo. |

Very nicely done. I really like the diagonal composition and the offbeat crop. My only CC is that the child on the left's eye-whites seem overly white as if they were worked over in PP and I miss the natural shadow there. (I may be wrong, but it's the thing in this photo that keeps stealing my attention.) 8, just-married |

Wonderful composition. I particularly like the conversion and the range of tones. The models are captivating. What I don't like...the left child does not look as real as the one on the right. Did you use a diffuse glow filter? Maybe too much USM. Anyway, I'm giving this an 8. I'll pass on commenting on the Too instead of Two, oops, no I won't! |

Ah, yes, the toos. What a perfect opportunity for a punny title! I commend you for the guts to enter this pose. I had an option like this, but worried it'd be seen as "a portrait has to show both people equally." Those eyes are something else! |

Oh no, not your kids again.......j/k :) This is another great shot of them. I really like the tight crop and the angle . It gives a different perspective. I think you cropped a little too close to Rowan's left eye (probably for a reason) but it's not a big concern. bump 9 Top 3 pick |

Unique and creative composition and crop and they come together very well. The ocular diagonal is slightly offset as though it is really the eyebrows that are in alignment, which stand in strong contrast between the blond and the brunette and the soft wave of hair vs. the more coarse hair. The glowing smoothness in their skin gives the image a soft-focus feel even though the focus is tack sharp. |
