I questioned whethere this image would have fit more with the challenge if it was converted to b&w. I actually thought the colours showed more contrast than in b&w. I also had to be careful not to sharpen or adjust contrast too much. It was later in the evening and I did use a tripod. Is there anything in my settings that could have been changed as well? I welcome your feedback.

No whites and no blacks. Not high contrast. I know that's pragmatic, or something, but even so this is way off the mark.

Apart from that it's a nice sky shot.

this is a lovely image, but i'm afraid it's not really a high contrast image. high contrast has a limited tonal range of high and low tones, with very few intermediate tones. the ultimate high contrast is pure black and white, no greys. the more greys or intermediate tones, the less high contrast it is.
