SP shot at 18mm with 2 umbrella strobes using IR remote shutter release.
Manual aperture, time, focus due to uncontrolled strobes.
Did auto levels but couldn't tell the difference.
Slight adjustment of brightness and contrast.
Crop slightly

These are my son's O-Chem books. I know nothing about them or even if the two open pages relate to each other.

Good idea but kind of weird.

Ahh, I remember those days. Great composition, the glasses are a nice touch.

This, with the title, amused me greatly. :)

The duality of this image is refreshing to see in this challege - you've tried to meet it on two levels by including an obvious reference to chemistry (ie the books) and then linked your title into your subject matter using chemistry terminology. Technicals all look good to me but I'm hungry for more subject matter - I cast my eyes over this shot and theres nothing to hold me there, nothing to make me linger. Perhaps use of gels and colour would add more interest, or focusing in more on the sleeping guy with the chemical textbooks in the foreground might have helped this image a bit more. Overall 5.

Had enough? I'm tempted to say if the model was say a teenage girl studying for exams it would quite have the same message - that organic chemistry is intensely boring!!!

I would fall asleep too reading those things!

the idea and composition works for me. The lighting is a bit off, seems the paper on the books to the right is a bit blown out.
