Superb lighting and excellent photo! I had a similar idea, but my boots, though worn a lot, still look pretty spiffy. That would not have been as effective as what you created. Good finish, too.

Nice low-key shot. Good work on the technicals. I'm kind of on the fence post if it's doing anything for me as far as an emotional connection. Seems a little static and impersonal IMO.
