Yes, the focus might hurt it in a challenge, but this is one of those shots that stands in spite of the imperfections. You got a great slice of life here. What a FUN smile! |

The captured expressions are priceless. How great that you were able to make these kids feel so comfortable in front of the camera. It seems pretty apparent from your wide aperture and relatively slow shutter speed that gaining a larger DOF with a smaller aperture would have required a flash. This would have likely changed the shadows and definitions on their faces. This photo works in spite of the soft focus on the front child. This one really caught my eye and held it. Nice job. |

In my humble opinion, while perfect focus would have been nice, perfect and real smiles are FAR more important. This is a delightful picture! |
