I believe this is a monitor lizard. Taken at the Denver Zoo.

I particularly like the expression and detail of the skin.

What a beautiful lizard! The image is great. I love the strong color and the contrast. My first thought when I saw it was: "no way, this can't be real!"

What a pose! Love the bright green of his skin against the darker colours of the wood.

Nice title - fits the expression perfectly.

This is obviously the presenter of 'Reptiles have got Talent' a twice weekly show that is seen around the local Zoo's and is hoping to break through onto Discovery.

Here we see Mickey the Monitor Lizard opening the show and introducing tonights acts while wearing his sequined green suit . . . a style that never goes out of fashion in the Lizard world.

Very cool animal, what a great capture of that pose! The lighting makes him stand out beautifully from the background, and the color and detail are wonderful!

Even though it isn't a gecko, somehow this makes me think about auto insurance.
I guess the only thing left to make this better would be to have the critter speak when you open the image from the thumb.
The lighten up around and on the subject in the center, and the overall green feel of the image is very "right" for the scene. You captured an awesome pose, and very well too.

... I can't help but get the feeling he's trying to entice you into something. Very cool and strange shot!
