When I look at it, I see gears, not wheels. So close it lacks context, and the flash detracts from it. |

Thanks for the close-up, and I like your composition. I wonder what it is? Seems a contradiction. Oxidized iron but it's bright and shiny. |

not often do i look at metal and think..."gross" but in this case its kinda good, poor lighting though, but without it, the "wet look" might not be there to provoke such a feeling |

Has potential to be an interesting shot, but the lighting is way too harsh. |

in my opinion its to hard to tell that its a wheel without the title. |

Sweet image, but I think the harsh flash lighting takes away from the inherently interesting texture. Using a tripod and indirect or natural lighting at a slower shutter speed would help --- this might be a cool subject for the "painting with light" technique. Look in the tutorial or how to section. |

Almost medical looking. THe reflections are a bit overpowering. Is this with flash or set lighting? |
