HUGE crop on this one. I did a little cloning on my right eye to get rid of the break in the paint there, cloned out the holes where the rubber band was, desaturated the greens, yellows, and some of the reds for the BG was green (bleh) and I was a little red (I was hot under those lights LOL). Dodged the feathers on the left, burned the feathers on the right, copied the layer and burned around the image to frame it in a bit better. I smudged the white paint on my chin because of crackage USM at 200, 2.5, 3, resized for challenge, NI, USM again at 50, 0.5, 0 and then history brushed around the edges of the white feathers as it made them jaggy :-/
I tried converting this to full B&W but it just lost some of the impact IMO.
I am going to guess a 5.2 or 5.3 on this one. |

Excellent work Johnna, and coming back to give you a Member of Week comment. I gave you a 7 on this. I love the tilted head pose. I didn't realize it was a separate mask and paint at first due to the precise alignment and coloring. I also really like how the feathering of the mask matches the flow of the hair so well, and it's good it's a different color so it doesn't blend in. |

How did I not comment on this yet?
I think the concept is wonderful, but you lost a little impact because the left side of the image fades into the background. Try either shining light on the background so it's brighter than the pure black subject or have a light behind you shining forward so you get a halo on your hair. Heh - do I sound like I know what I'm talking about with lighting? THAT'll be the day. :) |

I think the jewelry is unessecary. its a great shot nonetheless- very Jenniffer Lopez meets Phantom of the opera. |

Very interesting tribal/Mayan feeling to this. Like the lighting and tone. Two things distract me however; 1) Where as one eye-hole appears to be hollow, the other appears to be black, giving the impression the other should be white. 2) the feathers or hair going behind the mask, it looks cut off and my first impression was it was poorly edited before I noticed the outline of the mask. |

clean and the makeup is good, the tilt of the head doesn't seem right here though |

Really good concept though the left "white" eye should have been a bit more evident. I had to look for it as it appeared like a void. I see you worked on it in Post Processing but it still does not fulfill the drama you may have intended. Otherwise, you have a nice composition here. Good luck. |

This is probably going to end up close to top ten. The only thing holding this image back is the line down the face this image is not very straight. Still Excellent shot! |
