 This was shot using my cloth backdrop and the lamp in my room. just messed with angles until I got one I liked. I had to use the 50 mm due to the lack of light in the room, but I think the selective focus gives the viewer something to focus on, much as how I focus to a string when tuning my guitar.

Nice idea. Very difficult to do - for me, at least. The A peg doesn't quite stand out enough, possibly because the E peg is so so close to the plane of focus.

I like the lines and selective focus. This looks like a piece you would see in a music book. Simple and intriguing.

Very nice shot. The narrow DOF works here as you did get me to focus tightly on one spot. B/W is the right choice too.

Nice lighting and really like the shallow DOF. Watch the reflections on the ends of the keys. The middle one is somewhat distracting.
