 Simple black and white portrait of my 7 week old baby boy Max. The set up was very simple in the studio. I had one studio light with a medium soft box place to the camera left. It was pretty close to me and the baby.

I set everything up, and thank my wife for working with me and pressing the shutter button (quite a few times).

Very little post processing.

-convert from Raw
-process to B&W
-I did have to remove a small dog hair that was stuck to his lip
-A little bit of burning to darken my face and sweater

Tender and gorgeous. For me, if the babe was positioned a bit farther down, and there wasn't a neck in the shot, just Dad's hand, it would carry more impact. Just my opinion, which is worth nada :) Lovely b/w.

Adorable. I love shots like these. With the large male hand in there, you really get a sense of how small and fragile babies are.
