 On my way home over the Memorial Day weekend the sky kept giving me absolutly beautiful rays and colors, I instantly remembered this large cross and actually prayed that I would reach it before sunset. I got there in plenty of time and was so happy that the sky was again being so awesome. I pulled off the highway and into the parking lot behind the cross (which happens to be a XXX sex shop lol) and took a few shots at different exposures and distances. I was upset that I couldn't get exactly the angle I wanted (the cross is up on a hill a bit and I couldn't climb up there) and ended up with powerlines in the image, I hope I did ok cloning them out.

Combined 3 different exposed images with Dynamic-Photo HDR software, saved as Tiff and opened in CS for final post processing.

selective color to remove way too much yellow and red
hue/saturation
brightness/contrast
clone powerlines down near horizon (didn't get them all)
median noise reduction
crop to cut off weird left edge distortion
resize
USM

I really like this - very powerful.

My only nitpick is whether you could have got rid of the square sign to the left of the cross - I think that would be ok under the advanced editing rules.

Anyway very nice.
