The light on the dog and garbage is so bright, that it's somewhat distracting here. I can't get any detail out of the garbage, as it's all bown way out and lacks definition. The dog looked like it could have been a boxer, but then he looks too short and his feet are fat like a bull dog. overall an average photo. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~

the dog's face should be more visible, and the lighting is too glary.

Tought to capture "live action stuff". Nice try, but boring subject (trash bags) and poor contrasts makes this picture a 2/10 in my book.

Very nice composition. The overexposure is probably a result of your flash which would not be needed in this type of shot. My only criticism is the dog is very ugly and looks like he may well stink! 8-Martin

challenge met - yes
technical - picture seems blurred, trash in the open bag is overexposed
composition - i realize you probably had to take that shot pretty quick while the situation was there, but a lower angle from further to the right might have been more effective (if possible) so that the dog's face was more visible (and didn't melt into the trash as much). i also have a preference of animal/kid pictures that are taken at their level rather than looking down on them.

Good picture of three bin liners. Like the way you mix the brown one in with the two black ones

a little pixellated, light meter needs a little work.

What was your inspiration for this photo? You do meet the challenge, but were you looking for more? - setzler

Seems a bit overexposed and out of focus...bad dog :)
10/07/2002 05:20:00 PM
You should have zoomed in closer to give only the dog's face and the open bag.

Would have been better if not over-exposed. Nice composition

I seriously hope you checked the contents of that bag before letting your(?) dog stick it's head in it.

Nice concept - unfortunately over-exposed where it matters (near the dogs head).

Over-exposed and blury. (4)
