I would expect this to do fairly well - the lighting is pretty well controlled but unadventurous, I wonder if you could have been more daring with it. That said, I think you've captured a lot in the expression and it's getting a high score from me.

Love the way you have filled the frame with his face but still managed to keep his whole beard in the shot.

Great expression and even lighting. I wish it was overall just slightly lighter and warmer. Detail in the eyes is almost lost in darkness. Still a great shot.

Expressive face and good eye contact, but the lighting is very flatn and his face a bit dark.
