 Well, since I realized too late that converting a file to .DNG is not allowed for any potential validation, I was forced to abandon my previous submission and go look for more bumblebees. Fortunately the Rhododendron was still in full bloom and the bees were plentiful. Personally, I am glad I had to return as I like this shot much better than my original...



I particularly like the interaction between the bee and the flowers.

As far as processing, minor tweaks in RAW, some dodging and burning to balance the image, rotate the image, clone out some minor imperfections, resize, border, and submit.
