Took my girlfriend's nig bag of almonds and a small white bowl and started playing. Took lots of variations on this, with different zooms, focal points and depths of field. This one seemed to stand out as the best, but it was slightly arbitrary.

I wonder whether people will complain that this doesn't fit the theme. I think it does - the chaos of how you could spill the same bowl of almonds a million times and they would never spill the same way twice - but we'll see.

I cropped, auto colored, contrast +14 and brightness -14, added border.

I'd like to see this with a bit wider depth of field, but I still really like this image. Lovely colors and tones, and super point of view.

Border distracts, could be thinner.
Think I'll open a bag of almonds, now>

Good depth of field study, but doesn't strike me as chaotic. I would also lose the border.

I really don't care for the field of depth with this photo.....I find it very distracting to my eyes....In some ways I do like the border which gives it a feeling of spilling out over the borders which helps convey in a small way the idea of chaos....

This isn't really chaos, but is an interesting picture. The colors are great, the focus decision works (but might have been stronger with a little more DOF). The wire frame didn't work for me, but that is a personal taste, so take that for what it is worth.

Beautiful image, meets the challenge, but the border really disturbs me - I won't mark down for that, though.

I really like this shot but i have to give you some points off because of the border. it is really really distracting, I'm sorry. otherwise its a nice shot. I might have given it higher points for chaos had it been flipped 180 degrees vertically (dont ask me why--id like it that way!)

Good DOF, good lighting and a high quality image that is appropriate to the challenge. Generally speaking I find borders more distracting in images than helpful and that is true in this case. I would not and did not rate your fine image lower because of it.

Nice, but the border is really distracting

Sadly I don't think that this form of very mild disorder could be classed as chaos.
That is something much more formidable, but I wouldn't know how to portray it myself.

I think it would be better to have full focus on all of the almonds, lower aperature

Your picture really has a clever idea behind it. Perhaps it might have been a bit better if more of the almonds would have been in focus.

Very interesting shot, but I have to take a mark off for that obtrusive border which makes it impossible for me to focus on the photo.

I'd drop the border - not my taste at all. I like the shot though - 8
