 daisy covered in water. the light is cloudy near sunset. that's why I needed 400ISO

levels and curves, resize and usm. that's it. no crop.

while I do like this picture, I wonder if it's really the best one I had of these flowers, or if I chose it because of a Prominent Subject with No Distractions... in other words for DPC qualities. This strategy clearly didn't work, and I was faced with comments of "boring" that have some validity, I suppose. I'll have to show you some outtakes with more complexity to the composition, or save one for the free study.

lol well I saw the purple right away. Is it because I am older now and my eyes are failing me? I love that strip of purple. You can feel it about to ooze off of the center. Wonderful macro.

I dont see the purple rain, I see green and yellow, and pink, but no purple.3

Very good idea. It does look purple on the center of the flower. Love the bottom dew drop! so exact... A little dull tho. Almost seems like the flower is dying, but I may just not know this flower.

Overall I like your image. For me, there's something missing to give it that extra....wow. Maybe its the lighting or a larger area in focus...something. Sorry I can't be more technically accurate, that's not my style. Good title though.

DOF is too narrow for my taste. if it were bigger, this would have been a much better photo.
