I was looking for a similar set up but never found it. Only critique...maybe closer to subject composition and a larger aperture/less dof to create a feeling of barreness beyond the subject. Just how I see it...not sure thats what you were goig for. IMHO/6

The darkness of the sky processing obscures the mast and sail lines of the boat. I think the fact that the boat is on dry land is infinitely more important than the clouds. What would this look like in color? Would the boat be more visible?

Hmmm... The bay at the bottom of Awanui Street, Birkenhead? Had to fire up Google Earth to find this. Kept thinking it couldn't be Auckland because the bridge looked like it was in totally the wrong place.

Awesome black and white. Great job on the dodge and burn, very dramatic. Good luck!
