I've been reading all of the critiques on this series, and there is SOOOOO much that goes into taking a good portrait. Little details that I never noticed seem to make a big difference, and are so obvious when other people point them out. By the end of this month you're going to be a portrait master! Good luck on the new open challenge, by the way! :-) |

Wow - that's incredibly dramatic - well done.
Being picky - her neck is lost and the shadows there would be better lost - GRIN! And in this cas the solid black of her top means we lose definition of her breasts - it rides a little too high up. |

Over all, Well done! I love the focus on the leg tats, but I wish the boot wasn't cutting one in half (makes it kind of look unfinished). The leg crease that Neil mentioned is very unflattering. And the head does look just a tad skewed. |

overall I think this image works, but the mouth is kinda wierd, maybe a devilish little smirk would have worked better.
But I do see what you were going for, so welldone for that |

I really like the lighting. Her neck is sort of missing. She looks quite tense. I read a q&a with a photographer who said he always had a good conversation with the model before he starting shooting, that way he could have something to talk to the model about and they usually forgot that they were in front of the camera. |

Well the lighting is good and mostly flattering. The pose to me - looks like she thinks the job is done and she is getting up off the floor when you snapped this - also mouth is like in mid-sentence. If her left leg were a little more straight / lower, it would hide the crease Neil mentioned and would look a little more relaxed. And is that a bullet-proof boustier?? ;-) Just looks kinda bulky.
Dang, I'm a critical bastard, aint I? Well even so, this seems to be getting back to the first model shots you posted as far as overall quality and attention to detail. Hope I was a little helpful. |

I like this shot and overall the pose.
Critical Look: perhaps he way the modellooks, but it seems to me the perspective makes her head look pinched down/flat. If you were shooting on the wide side, perhaps you might do some perpective adjustment here? (Also, you might fix the crease inside her thigh. |
