Just have this compulsion to submit things into challenges. Will this be dapplish enough or not? Yes it's busy in a sense but that's what happens in nature sometimes.

Yaaaaay congratulations on the very high finish but more importantly the GREAT image.

Yes it is dappled enough and given the play of light and dark it is amazing that you have got such sharpness throughout the image

Such a strong balck and white conversion with great tonal ranges.

I think ayear ago this would have scored nearer 7 than 6, but unfortunately that is the way that voting seems to have gone recently

Great great shot

I'd say it did OK. :-) Lovely B&W, by the way, and definitely not too busy at all.

Nice leaves and dappled light. A slight sepia would have been appropriate to warm the shot a bit but otherwise, nice job .... dude(ss) ;-) Good luck!

Nice technically, but not enough to hold my interest.

Nice dappled light and the focus is good, but the subject and composition are a bit too static for my taste. I think the image needs a focal point.

Nice b/w conversion. Love the layers of depth from sharp focus to very soft too.

Simple but lovely. Love the contrast and the black and white.

Nice use of b&w. Nice exposure leaving the bright not washed out and the dark tones still having some detail. very artsy looking. nice.

Great patterns. Black & white works so well here.

This is a really good idea, converting to monochrome.

This shot works well in B&W but I wonder if, in this case, the color version might have brought another dimension to the image.

Sorry but this doesn't quite work for me. I think its the lack of a focal point that I find off putting. This might not be so bad if there was a repeating pattern in the image, but this isn't the case either.

This photograph is strong because it seems like there are three different values, the dark shadows the median gray of the leaves and the highlights created by the dappled lights.

Looks like a piece of graphic. The composition would be perfect for a textile :) I like B&W choice for this one. It's excellent technically. Very elegant. I wonder if yo had more smaller leaves in frame, as they look more interesting (making the composition more interesting I mean, than big flat areas of big leaves).

The B&W is good, the light is very good, the composition...wich composition?

Something very strong is not needed with this kind of image, but at least one line leading the eye into the image was necessary IMO. Globally, above average though.

I like how some of the leaves stand out more then others because of the streams of light its very soothing
