Beautiful detail and shallow DOF. Great colors and perspective. I like how you showed the age of this wheel. I think it would look really good with less blur (greater DOF) 9
Good luck...

I think a little deeper DOF would have made it better? |

the extremly shallow depth of field has caused too much of the subject to be out of focus, you have gone too far with a probably good idea |

Good use of narrow DoF; you might have stoped down one more stop to get the entire wooden rim in focus, still throwing out the spokes & hub; really just my opinion, it does work fine as-is. |

maybe a little too close up to really get the picture |

it seems like this would have worked better using the center of the wheel as the foregound. Either that or increasing the DOF. If I didn't know this was a wheel challenge, I wouldn't know this was a wheel. Very artistic though. |

The focus and texture on this wheel are really good. I think I would have liked the picture better if the angle was a bit different and more of the wheel would have been in focus. |

A very odd perspective -- unless you have been run over recently! :D |

I like the point of view, maybe smaller aperture will do better job? 7 |

For me, too much of the wheel is out of focus...the intention is good, but I think the effect is lost. Maybe a little more of an angle toward the center would have helped. |

cool idea, it might look better if you switched the focus and made the inside of the wheel sharp and the outside blurry |

The perspective and colour in this photo is great. Having a much greater depth of field I think would improve it. (the eye is drawn to the yellow which is out of focus). 5 |

A study how to use DOF, but we don't get much of the wheel for this subject matter. |

Fantastic detail on the closup, but I find the blurred area on the right pulls the eye away from it. |

Good perspective but more depth of field needed... |

I'd like more depth of focus, maybe to the inner rim of the wheel. The hub is so fuzzy it's distracting |

quite a lot of the frame is out of focus, and the part that is in focus seems a bit soft. I guess I'd like to see the whole thing |

Excellent, the DOF here works really well. Got to be in the running for a ribbon. |

maybe a greater depth of field, or having the cneter of the wheel in focus would have given a better sense of the image... |
