Technically it may be a "camera", but c'mon...this is a photography site, what did you expect? I for one, anticipated regular cameras, you know the kind used for photography; not movies or videos.
If you do decide to go outside the anticipated box, then the image needs to be unique and interesting, not a snapshot-ish type of image. During voting I gave this a generous 4.
All JMO of course. :-) |
The challenge description specifically details 'any camera'. Seems to me you were robbed, Rob.

Thank you Andre, much appreciated.
Funny thing is, I took a few shots from different angles to see which would work best. Every time I moved around, the camera followed me! |

An exceptional & among the most unique contributions to this challenge. A camera depicted as ordinary object in the environment, I would have thought there would be more of these - a reminder that camera is an object of different forms, shape, & function, ubiquitous in modern society. A balanced composition, carefully composed & thoughtfully edited. |

My grandmother would say "common sense is neither". |

Thanks you everyone for the nice comments!
I know it's a bit OOTB but to me it's an important image. |

A camera is a camera is a camera. Lot's a blown highlights it appears, though well composed and I love the rest of it. Basic sucks sometimes. :)

Good question, shouldn't it come full circle so that we're watching those watchers??

Looks like you have an OOBIE nomination here. I like the lines of the cables. |

I totally love this. Off-the-wall (pun intended) take on "camera" in a sea of uninspired straight "portraits. Aesthetically, the image is outstanding in its own right. The discontinuity where the wall "breaks" on the right makes the image. Well done. |
