I think this was a pretty good movie, and I had a friend that I just recently found out liked to fly fish. So....I said grab your gear we're going to take some pictures. Taken on Dry River, in George Washington National Forest. It was actually raining when I took this picture....which coincidentally helped me take a long exposure to get the smooth running rapids. I told him that I only wanted to go out if we had a good sky so I could use my polarizer b/c an overcast/cloud covered sky always looks "blown out"....so I avoided getting any sky in the photo.

This one was tough to edit, espcially using the basic editing rules since it was so dark out. I did a couple clarifies of 5 along with a lot of selective saturation and desaturation of colors. The hardest part was getting his shirt to look good. I oversaturated it a bit just to add some contrasting colors. I did quite a few adjustments with the shadows and brightness. The shirt still has too many shadows on it for my tastes.

Very well done
I love all the contradictions of motion, stillness, patience and rushing; everything that goes with being a great fisherman too! I love this movie by the way!

The water keeps going and he remains the constant. I could never have enough patience for fishing :oP This image gives such great movement and colors. Wonderful job!

Really nice water flow. My first instinct is to say that the woods need accentuating, but no, the water is key. Is that you fishing?

The smooth water effect works well here. If the greens were a little richer it would be a plus.
