 A friend (the figure in the photo) made this labyrinth in the sand at Nehalem State Park on the north Oregon Coast. He drew it with a stick (evident in the photo). It took him a hour to draw out the maze, and about 15 minutes for our two families to find our way out from the middle. I heavily edited this photo from the original to invite the viewer into the inner world of the labyrinth. I also allowed the light reflecting on the bay to bleed over into the edge of the labyrinth to move the eye out beyond the horizon of the limited world of labyrinthian pathways. The tilt was not only intentional, but also necessary since I don't have photoshop on my laptop and don't know how to realign horizons on the photo editing program I have. I liked the sense of tilted world of the labyrinth space and thought it might add to the value of the piece afterall.

Unusual topic, strange composition, odd colors. Definitely one of my top pix for the challenge. Very out of the box!
