Great photo, I would have cropped it to remove the sky, top right. Colour and lighting is excellent |

Excellent - the light is presumably processing work? Love the anti-rules cropping, the balance, the loom of the tree. |

This is a perfect example of when to center your subject.
The tree not only simplifies the flower, but adds both texture and motion to the composition. The corners of the image frame the subject nicely and add to the overall balance of the composition.
I'm curious to know if the image was burned/dodged...
An old subject made new again! Good job.

Very interesting composition choice to center everything, which givest this flower and tree supreme importance. I like how you've used light (or burning). Nice work. It works for me! 9 |

beautiful. I would have cropped lower to get rid of the sky alltogether. |

Good looking! A single flower... fraile and fresh against the old texture of the bark. The fact the is centered doesn't botther me but increase the effect. In my opinion it would have been excellent too if you caught only the bark as a background. Just a thought. I like it anyway the way it is. 10 |

I like how the daffodil pops out of the image with the light highlighting the flower and the background not being completely black. The toning and texture of the tree is great too. I like this! |

Very interesting composition. The bright area of the flower surrounded by a darkened background gives image the feeling of a Stephen King novel. Great job. |

I like this....to me it has great dramatic appeal. I like the soft darkness surrounding the lighter flower which is the place your eye travels to first.... |

Great idea, but the daff is too centred in my view. |

Good lighting effect on the tree bark..personally, I would like to see it with the sky cropped out but very good image overall |

nice use of the tree to offer extra texture . The spotlight (filter?) on the daffodil creates the focal point. The sky on the upper right and the trees on the upper left don't add -- perhaps cropping along the sides to avoid pulling my eye to uninteresting parts of the shot?? |

Yes indeed. Not sure though if this would please the audience here. Would have been better in macro and the tree backround would have not been distracting. Good Luck! |

great lighting. I like the contrats between the deliucate flower and massive tree trunk behind it. |
