shot with 135mm f/2.8 with Soft Focus - I think the SF setting was at "2" at the time. The lens focuses normally, but introduces spherical aberration (if you set it to do so) that gives everything a glowing look.

It looks terrible in thumbnail, and it's what may be considered "OOF" to boot, so I'm not expecting a whole lot of appreciation - but I think it's a nice capture of a quite lovely moment, so in it goes. :)

Oh my - how gorgeous is that? It may be soft focus, but it's clear enough to see the whole ducky family as the glide across the water. WONDERFUL shot!

This is so cool with everything oof except the ducks. It does give it a quiet restful feeling.

I think if you did not have the duck family there then this would have been just a plain old scenic photo. I think I might have even cropped off the top (with the dark tree) to bring more focus to the ducks. I like how you used the softness to create a dreamy quality for this moment. Very nice...

seems like a soft out take....

Ah sweet! She has ducklings! Looks like a painting, but I think the top part is too painterly and actually, I personally prefer seeing the bottom part where my eyes stay on the ducks and not the top tree. Sorry if I'm too forward.. I like your image.

This is a perfect shot for soft focus, but pretty for any contest.
I may have cropped out the sky, it seems a bit blown out. But then takes out the tree that gives the shot a good balance. Tough call, good luck.

A hair too soft for my liking, but a good shot regardless.

A little too much orton effect, but it is very beautiful!

Good processing on this image. I really like the softness - it has a painterly quality about it. Nice lighting as well. Good luck in the challenge.

Is this one a soft focus out-take?

I am assuming that the softness was deliberate. It seems to work for the bottom two thirds of the image, excluding the water.

This might have worked better for the soft focus challenge.
