 Male Western Bluebird, Sialia mexicanus, differentiated from other bluebird species by the chestnut color on scapulars. Feeds mostly on ground insects and berries. Bluebirds consider mealy worms a delicacy.

Wow! That's a vibrant bluebird! Maybe a tad to saturated, but nice composition. I also wish there was a bit more of the background, that it wasn't so blurred out, but that's me.

I'm going to have to go Bluebird-stalking; first there was a western one in the FS, and now this lovely eastern one. I am feeling peer pressure ... or I'm just flat out jealous of people who are getting gorgeous shots of Bluebirds ;-)

it might be my monitor, but the blue appears overly saturated. great focus and isolation from the background.
