 Well, I've been scoring 6+ lately, which I have to say I am very happy about. However, I can't seem to get over the edge and near a 7, and I'm not really getting many comments either. Maybe I am starting to become too "score-oriented" producing the same kind of images over and over again.

So I wanted to see if I can maybe appeal to the "DPC Underground" ;) Dream scenario for this image:

Well, I made it halfway there with both faves and comments, but some of the comments are really worthwhile. I had a lot of fun with this image.

So overall I guess maybe I kept it too abstract and it was hard to understand what's going on. It's sometimes hard to realize how somebody else will see your image, as your own view is biased. This is the sun reflected in a little pool of water in the gutter, trying to say that the sun isn't only up there in the sky, but also down here in the most unexpected places where you would not expect it at all.

Good to see you still shooting buddy, I liked it a lot. It's a difficult call to make each week, do I submit something I like, knowing it'll probably bomb with the massess, or do I shoot for score ( you know, flowers, blobs of water etc etc ).

This is a very different take of the challnege but it still is met. This picture has a lot of values and the orange around the sun really adds emphasis to it.

this is more abstract than anything.

the reason I say this is because I have no clue what you are trying to convey.

as a viewer, my eye is not focused on anything except what you are calling the Sun.

Your reflection in the window is evident as well, and not appealing.

It is hard for me to give you even a mid range score on this image.

Try again.
