Mister Man knew this was his last chance. Without missing a step, he said, "Hey, nice um... stretch pants."
"Thank you," she said, accompanied by the clopping of her shoes.
"Yeah, well, um... do you drink coffee?"
"Only on bad days," she said.
"Do you want to have a bad day together?" he asked.
"Better than a bad day alone," she replied. The cobblestones smiled. |
