 A shot from last year that I never got round to entering in a free study. Now with overlay.

This is beautiful. Perfect overlay. Reminds me of the hurky-jerky first few seconds of an old scratched film when the projector was still trying to attain the proper speed. Great color tones. Very nice. Makes me want to break into a chorus of "Bali-High". : )

I typically don't like overlays, but I do like the "age" that this one gives to the shot. A very strong composition as well.

That would have been awesome, but equally as good is Hahei beach, along the Coromandel Peninsula here on the North Island NZ. Just over a two hour drive from Auckland City.

Nothing. Actually, I hardly ever enter the free studies, which is likely why I didn't think of it til it was too late. Then I was out of the country for the Best Of 2007 challenge, so couldn't enter it then either :(

Cool image. I like the way the colour of the parasol works to emphasize the mood of the image and IMO compliments the overlay.
