This is one of my favorite shots you took, I also like a few others from this set. RIP, I hope to create something similar one day. |

Anyone who can pull off a shot like this, I believe, has an immense wealth of inherent talent. You've obviously worked hard with all your submissions and particularly with this one, the your passion shows. Submitting work, and having in the back of your mind the thought of 'conforming to the DPC herd' is always going to be part of it. Submitting because you are proud of your work, even the tiniest part of it, is all that is needed to carry on. Life will get in the way, there are always those that will cast a flippant comment, but if you look at the actual flippant comments for a genuine critique, 99% of the time they are baseless. Keep going, it may well be worth it, even if it's not here, look at your work again from another view, imagine it in a book, or part of a series in an exhibition, or as a body of work you would give as a gift to someone. Thanks for your contributions, rave over ;) |

This photograph participated way before my time here but this shouldn't stop me from leaving a comment.
I have only 1 word for this: A M A Z I N G.
I really hope you will continue with this kind of work and share it with us.
7th place out of 464, this should tell you something... |

Artists either shoot/paint/write what they love and say to hell with the reviews and critics, or they edit and shoe-horn their work into the mainstream, possibly at the expense of pride. You have a rare talent that some people simply don't "get" (pun unintended.) Really hope you see this as a breakthrough, because your work is outstanding, imo. |

I have been fascinated with your work for a few months. I don't necessarily care for most of it, but you do nice work and I like what you have been doing recently. I absolutlely love this one! I agree that you could do a whole series on this. Outstanding!
Great art will get a response from the viewer either bad or good. Don't be discouraged.

To me, this is the best photograph that I have seen in your port or challenges. I find this to be outstanding, (bar the greenlight bit that I talked about earlier) This to me should have scored higher. You could do a series on just the chains in this shot with different poses. I am impressed and I love this shot, well done on such a high score and top 10 |

I think this is a great photo. It looks painful to be strung up in the chains that way. Your lighting is spot on and love the way it illuminates the curves in her body. You definately put a different spin on nudes!
Congrats on your PB! |

I read your comments and completely understand. I am not interested in nudes but you have done this one tastefully if not painful looking. I like the lighting very much. If I had voted in this challenge I would have given it a very high score. Well done. |

Congrats on a fine finish! I find this photo totally amazing and my hat is off to you. Forget the ignoramuses who feel that leaving a critique must mean you have to tear a photo apart, look for the smallest little thing to complain about, etc. Bottom line is you are the judge of your own work, you know what is good, you know what it took to take the photo, you know the vision you had. To bring that to fruition, that is accomplishment.
I could go on and on... but suffice it to say you have a winner here! |

Well, it didn't ribbon, but I think coming in at #7 in a freestudy should convince you that your stuff is appreciated. I read your very interesting comments that go along with this. Even if something is not personally appealing to some, it is still possible for many to identify if it is a good photo or not. (Hope that was not my comment you quoted, but that does not sound like me!) |

personal best and top 10! congrats... i know its not a ribbon but thats tough to do in a free study, I hope this convinces you to stay in it and disregard the people that can't look deeper - we all suffer from people of that mindset at times for sure. |

OMG what an image! Your lighting and detail are about as perfect as it goes, you can even see her thumb ring. I'm amazed women can do these types of creative feats. Unique capture! |

Well, this image certainly stands out from the crowd. The high contrast coloured lighting is a little bit much for me, and the composition is trying to be centred, but doesn't quite make it with the misaligned chain. Great setup, and certainly has promise for a fantastic image though. |

very nicely done, 10, maybe have the hair a little muted so that it flows with the rest of the shot, but this is what FS are all about, and you have a shot here that is completely different from anyone elses, outstanding. |

Love your originality! Can't say i've seen the pose done before, but its brilliant! Personally I would have stuck with 1 lighting 'warmth' (not really sure what to call it?), but I don't think its a massive problem here at all. It certainly emphasises the 'up/down' element, which I think works very well considering your model is suspended in the air! Can't wait to read the comments on this one, well done indeed for what in my opinion is one of the most original shots in the challenge! |
