 Snakeshead fritillary after rain. I called it 'shade' because they remind me of old fashioned lamp shades.

I used to have some of these (Checkered or Snakeshead Frittilary) but I think the dogs killed them. Like the DOF; the green is a tad oversaturated on my monitor.

Love the purples that are going on here, very dense and interesting, simply elegant in a timeless, classic way, smooth clean lines, sharp in all the right places, gorgeous contrasts. Well done indeed
