Shortly after a late spring mid day storm, I was on my way home from the library and decided to stop by my favorite spot (campus botanical gardens) to shoot and see what I could catch. As I unpacked my gear I noticed a passerby stop walking and look into a small palm tree for a minute. After he left I investigated to find this guy....

I hate shooting above 200 ISO and it was still cloudy from the storm so this was not an easy shot. No room for tripod or monopod, he moved to much anyways. I wanted as much DOF as possible but it was killing my shutter speed so this was the balance I found.

Wonderful color and clarity. Perfect depth of field by catching the eye in focus. Cool perspective and funny title!

Fantastic focus on the eye! Love the photo! We have these anoles in Florida, but they hardly ever keep still enough to to get something like this. He is really checking you out! Nice composition. Excellent placing in this Free Study!

Just getting back to comment of some of the FS. I really love the eyeball looking over the leaf along with the brilliant title. Personally I'd have cropped a bit closer but that's just personal preferences. I'm a bonafide "In your face" kinda guy with macro.
Congrats.

Really cute Lizard...I only wish you had cleaned-up the specks in the foreground. I like your use of diagonal lines, it works well here. imho

Seeing lots of lizards right now. This one is a unique view. Good title, too.

Nice idea, although seeing so little of the lizard, might be pushing the envelope of syle more than would be to my taste.

cropping tight has made this image noisy
