 Well this was a really last minute idea. I had been planning on entering the sepia challenge but come Tuesday I had not good picture for it and when I saw that there were on 60 entries as of Tuesday morning I figured I'd try and think of something so I would have a better chance to finish near the top. The apple I used is actually about a month old and pretty dull and wrinkly. It definitely took some hue/saturation to fix its color and make it good and green. As for set up it was shot under the faucet in my kitchen sink suspended with a serving fork stuck in the bottom, balanced with ankle weights, etc. Pretty thrown together set up but I think it worked pretty well. Hope it does well!

Processing: shot in jpeg, unsharp mask, hue/saturation, brightness/contrast, levels, add border, resized.

Strange...I don't remember this image. Really great capture though. Definitely worthy of a top 10 finish.

IMO, this is the best of all the apple entries, the water gives it a juicy appearance and makes it inviting

gren looks artificial, background is too greyish, otherwise well done. you could have avoided the shadows and have a cleaner background with an additional light.

I've never seen an apple that green. I suspect you bumped up the saturation a bit too much. Nice photo though.
