Knew one of these days I'd make use of that old bowling pin. :)

Originally thought of doing some moody b&w of the pin, but then had the thought to add my bowling ball in the shot. I wanted to make it look like the ball was rolling towards the pin, so I opted to use my Lensbaby lens to get that look of forward motion. I placed the point of focus on the head of the pin, in order to get the blurriness leading up from bottom of the shot.

I'm happy with the result, and especially like that this is one of my shots that I did not crop, not even a little. :)

Very clever! And I thought this was an amazing macro shot hehe. The blur did catch my attention and I liked the brightness and clarity of the pin.

I like the look of the ball in motion. So that's what it looks like when the ball hits a pin.

im not sure i like your focus point, but this is a splendid idea. i also would have chosen a different color for the bowling ball, the blue is kinda bright, maybe a light purple or something would have looked better
