Already during the challenge this shot reminded me of a boat I used as a kid during a vacation in Sweden (1984 I think). It was at Enviken, in the Dalarna area. It was brand new at the time and it had the profile of this boat.
I had a great time with it, this photo reminded me of that. I hope it wasn't this boat. :-)

Love your country, I have been there eight times now and will return! ;)

congrats on third :) - one of my favorites this week...

The boat looks like it has been there so long that it belongs. I came real close to marking it down because the historic value makes it miss the topic of garbage. Good job. Autool

This is a terrific shot. Good job and congratulations! Grayce

Gorgeous lighting and textures. This would probably look excellent in black and white as well (I'm sure lots of people have said that), but I do like the colours here. They're very soft and subtle, and give it the right kind of weatherbeaten look. 10 - lisae

there is a lot you can do with these boat photos but i am not sure looking down at it is that effective, maybe have it in context with the water might be better. 7 paganini

nice shot! I really like how it is still on the waters edge. kind of like people wanting to be burried somewhere that they really loved, or in a place that meant something to them. The little weeds are a nice touch. Garbage without being unpleasant to look at. Ver nice shot. angle and framing/cropping are excelent. The lighting conditions are great, and the surrounds are really beautiful. Excelent. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~

Nice framing. Nice textures. Very good try at finding an interesting subject with the current theme. Framing ould be improved to make the photo more dynamic. Great effort though. 7/10

Very nice picture, I like everything about it. Where is it taken? Somewhere in the Northeast? Or around the Great Lakes? Seen some places in Maine that look like that...

Increase contrast in this one to separate the grey of the boat from the grey of the rocks. Good composition, though.

Terrific shot - the thumbnail made it look like a whole boat. Rather cool. OI bet the weather made the picture a little grey. I can't fault you for that, there is only so much you can do in a week... This is one of my favorites this week. (9) MarkRob

This is very nice. Definitely tells a story. I am thinking that perhaps if it wasn't cropped so tightly that it may even be more appealing. I love seeing the texture of the wood.

Color, sharpness, exposure, subject, texture. What does this photo not have?! If this is not in the top3, something is wrong. Excellent job!

One of the best this week. I really like the 'dead' look feel of it which adds to the overall feeling. Great job.

You found a great subject for the shot. However, the picture seems a little faded and bland with no strong colors. Maybe a lower perspective could have included some blue water or sky. A sunset in the bg would be great also. I would go back, if possible, and take more shots of this great find. ~indigo997

Good Photo, however, I do not see this as "garbage"!

This is an excellent shot... The boat seems to be framed fairly tight here... I wonder if it would have been possible to maintain a vertical shot and open up some space to the left of the boat? great work... = 10 - setzler

Beautiful photo. I like the many different tones of gray that you were able to achieve even though it's a color photo. Very nice.

Good Idea, and good subject matter but I think a different angle and less centered could have made this an exceptional photo. =7 syamjonimi ;'-D

Nice subject matter. Composition might be experimented with. Another angle might be more striking.
