nice composition, although the lighting failed you. A closer crop probably could have helped, or maybe getting the camera angle a little lower.

the sugar is blown out, but if this was properly executed,it would have been beautiful! try it without flash

The whole photo is OOF and the lighting is a little harsh. Because of the bright lighting it's difficult to see much definition in the sugar cubes.

Lack interest. White sugar lumps are blown out. Lacks focus.

I think you have the right idea here, but the composition needs a bit of work. I think with a different angle you could have worked on the placement of the cup in the scene.

Nice idea but the sugar cubes (your main subject) are overexposed. This seems like it would be a challenge to light effectively.
