The grittiness just makes this shot. If it weren't for the cellphone this could pass for a vintage photo. |

I think the overlay works well in the in the shot giving this an old photo feel. Nice street shot as well. |

Apparently I have the re-uploaded version showing - I don't find the overlay overpowering. It seems to fit this very well. |

I am grateful for all the comments, and I think I agree that the overlay was overpowering the photo itself. I kind of like it still because it creates the mood I was trying to evoke, so I desaturated it a bit, and re-uploaded.... I think it is better now. |

What a unique world is our Home! Cutting-edge technology and apparent poverty in the same photo! Slice of life as it really is... Good work! :) |

interesting street image, maybe crop it a little tighter using the lamp post to frame it on the left.
The overlay is a bit distracting, actually. |

Like the interesting people and the sign on the fence, and how this was composed. I find the overlay (or whatever you used) somewhat distracting, especially the strong pattern in the right lower corner. Would love to see this as a standard B&W or duotone or sepia, or perhaps with a more homogeneous overlay. |

I rather like the processing. It gives the photo that real "street" feel. It's funny, but the wire or string appears to be a leak coming out of the rear guy's bottle...he better drink fast! |

I like this shot - but I really don't like the processing; my first reaction was 'why has this tea-staining effect been added to this?' and only when I read the comments did I even consider that sign. me no see the point. |

Iraklis, yes it is, of course. The original photo was clean and, what's even worse, color :) |

I like this photo very much! This may sound like a silly question but, is the aged look from post processing? Great candid and the sign on the the fence is just precious. |
