Greetings from the Critique Club...
Hi Terry :)
This shot finished rather well in the challenge. I can't really add much to the comments you have received other than maybe a compositional change. As I play with this image on the screen, it seems that cutting off the right half of the image makes a tighter view of the subject area of the shot. Panning motion is quite difficult to 'compose' in most cases. The image just feels stronger overall to me when I remove the right half...

Congrats on the best placement of non-DSLR submissions for this challenge. Great capture and keep up the good work. Almost added another ribbon to your collection.

| The guy controlling the action is in generally sharp focus and the motion in the image emphasizes how everyone else is reacting to him. That is what makes this a great "motion blur" image. The croping of this one, whether done in camera or post processing is tremendous. Super capture. |

| Very nice blur and I like the way "Air Jordon's" face is in sharp focus. Color is also very good. A narrower DOF so that only the foreground players were visible would have made this into an awesome picture. Well done. |

| Everybody is in motion here, but you have just caught the central figure in stasis, perhaps at the top of a jump and not yet started to retuyrn. Very good. |

| I'm stunned by your panning technique here. I can't get over how crisp your subject is, given the speed of your pan and the shutter speed used. The composition doesn't quite work for me but it's a great shot. |

| I really like the combination of freezing motion in one subject - what might be considered the main subject - and blurring in the other subjects - nicely done indeed. |
