This was taken January 30, 2008 at the Fresno Yosemite Int'l Airport. The light trail was Skywest 5672 on departure to San Francisco, and the explosion below the end of the light trail is a firework set off by the Fresno PD when the aircraft was directly above it. Two other airlines that had departed before had reported flying through the smoke of a skyrocket, or reported the explosion of a firework 100 feet from their cockpit while they were climbing out of 2000 feet. I thought Al-Queda was at the end of the runway, but no, it was the Fresno PD doing dog training. Funny thing, the news team reported that at the time, the dogs were locked up in their cars!

20 second exposure, f13, ISO 320.
