Beautiful capture. I love how the light brightens up the face. The contrast between the bird and the background is wonderful.

Good focus, nice plain background. I think I'd like to see the whole tail. Since the bird is facing left I think this would work better in another challenge where you could crop it so that there was more space to the left than the right of the bird.

lovely colours but somewhat oversharpened and you have cut his tail off maybe a portrait crop would have given you the whole bird. 7
