 ok, i challenge anyone on this site to do a remake ( and afterwards, to share the techniques) I'm sure the idea has potential

This image looks too dark. Not cropping the swan's reflections would have helped too.

Here's my two cents. :)
First of all, the image is underexposed. I can understand that perhaps you wanted a low-key type atmosphere, and I really like them myselve, but I'm not sure it's really working here. Also, I would suggest avoiding cropping off the reflection of the birds, and straightening out the "horizon" in the distance the background. This is an ecxellent concept though - good idea!

Very good idea, the effects are great. It should be just a little lighter though.

Good concept but a little dull colour wise. I'm sure simple white balance or curves adjustment could have added a lot more vibrant white to the swans and made this a much better shot.
I'd also like to see the very end of the tail and have a little space left and maybe some more of the reflection.

Cool minimalist idea, however overall too dark. Better lighting would have given this a lot more impact.

this is a good shot, but its just too dark. maybe another lighting source or a different background

Very dark, crane cut off (tail & reflection). Lighten and recrop. :)

Too dark, but a very nice idea. Lighten it up a bit so the swans stand out more. Perhaps cropping a bit further out so the whole reflection shows, as well. 5

I like the swans. For me, if they were "swimming" on a dark blue base to suggest water it would have even greater impact or maybe not cutting off the reflection of the foreground swan.

if this had been composed to show the whole reflection and may be a square format i would have given it 10 but iam giving 8
