The little nicks are cat scratches. Knuckles can be tempermental.

Greetings from the Critique Club -

So you actually post your images up to the CC club huh? Well - let's see how I do.

This actually kind of grabbed me in voting. I gave it a 6 which means I liked it, it didnt totally fail as an image in my eyes, but that it lacked the wow power for a higher score. Wow power for me is an image that makes me want to hang out on it longer. not necessarily typical eye candy, but somethign that grabs me. I found it pleasing in general, though hanging out here and looking at it more to comment on it it seems to lack a bit more. The longer I look at it the less power it has.

I do appreciate that you didnt clone out the "imperfections" on her hand. The little nicks or whatever they are. I wonder what it would have looked like if the background was black rather than white. The feeling of the image is similar to Yankos. Not a full blown sadness but maybe a slight despondency.

I dont know. When it comes to critiquing certain peoples work I know that odds are they are looking for ways to make the image better in a DPC kind of way. Ways to get them a better score. But in your case I have to assume thats not the case. So on that end I am really not sure what else to add, except keep on doing what you do.

Wanting beak and feather, this oblique of leather
flies in graceful form, entwined, displaced
from elbow's bliss. The cat, a kiss
upon your brow. Alas, no silk purse from a sow.

An interesting pose. It conveys sadness to me. I suppose it's because of the way the hand is falling away from the light at the top and into the darkness below. I doubt most will like the technicals but for me it's perfect especially the focus and exposure. Good luck.

I think that this shot would have worked a bit better a few stops up.

Nice image - Like the composition. Looks like an old French picture for some reason?
