 Went out to the beach to watch the sunset this evening. The seagulls were just swarming the beach. There had been a few hanging around the beach over the course of the winter but nothing like today. Just one more sign of spring I guess.

I don't find seagulls usually that beautiful as they are scavengers and have pooped on me on more than one occasion but tonight they looked beautiful.

You did a great job here of creating something calming and serene. The soft colors are simply fantastic and fit the scene perfectly. The gulls are a nice touch, but I wouldn't have burned them so much. :P

For those wondering the gulls were not burned.

I love the soft colors and focus in this. Very serene and balanced. I can hear the seagulls and the fog horn.

Amanda this is so beautiful. The sunset colors are so warm and inviting. I love the muted look of the horizon, and those birds! This is a wonderful photo!

This is very beautiful. Not sure if the blurring is intentional - I think it works. I like seagulls mostly, you make them look VERY special.

weren't you sad when it finished setting? I hate to see scenes like this end.
The silhouettes of the gills is perfect. I wish I could get a shot like this, all the time I spend at the lake with the cam...so pardon my jealousy!

Very peaceful and serene. I love just being able to make out the pier and the lighthouse, and the colors are very rich, very warm. Great light here.

Very beautiful scene. The color and processing make it very much a sunset image rather than an image of the lighthouse. The birds add a very good touch to the entire image.

A beautiful scene. I myself like seagulls and the grace with which they fly and hover. Thank goodness I have never had one poop on me.

YES !!! .. this IS beautiful .. a stunning scene .. incredible colours ... wow and WOW .. !!!.
i personally dont like the shadows around the flying birds but the rest of the image totally compensates for my little nitpic .. :)
